Dr. Mingyang Zhang, a distinguished researcher from Aalto University, has a solid academic background in Marine Technology and Intelligent Maritime Technology. Dr. Zhang's academic achievements include over 50 publications in prestigious journals and conference proceedings, which have garnered over 1,000 citations on Google Scholar, with an h-index of 14. Recently, he has edited five Special Issues in Journal of Maritime Science and Engineering, Sustainability, Frontier in Future Transportation, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and Remote Sensing, focusing on smart maritime systems, emerging transportation technologies, and ship safety reliability. Currently, Dr. Zhang is actively engaged in RETROFIT55, a project aimed at developing a sustainable maritime transportation system in collaboration with stakeholders from industry, academia, and policymakers of the maritime industry.
